Nicholas Tee

Chairman, Board of Director

Nicholas Tee (CHILLIDXDDY) is a performance artist based in Naarm who makes site-specific, body-based durational performances using specificity as an artistic approach; their performance work is often politically charged, angry and messy.

Nicholas’ work has been presented internationally, notably at Haus der Kunst (DE), Kettle’s Yard (UK), Manchester Art Gallery (UK), ICA London (UK) and Point Centre for Contemporary Art (CY). In 2019, their work was featured in the British Art Studies journal published by the Paul Mellon Centre.

As a producer, Nicholas has worked internationally across Australia, Singapore and the UK on ambitious multi-disciplinary work at various scales. They’re particularly interested in nightlife as a social practice and working with transgressive performance practices that experiment with the limits of artistic possibility.

Notable producing credits include the Sing60 Music Festival (Festival Director), Triennial Cultural Showcase 2025 (Executive Producer), The More We Get Together publication (Curator/Producer) and Bunker By Night (Co-Curator/Producer) – a sold-out series of electronic music & experimental performances within a disused WWII-era military bunker.

Nicholas was a Fellow of T:>Works’ Artistic Directors Academy led by Dr. Ong Keng Sen from 2024-2025. They are currently the Executive Producer at The Substation, the nation’s leader in multi-arts and experimental practice based in Newport. They are also the Board Chair of SAtheCollective, an interdisciplinary and multicultural performing arts company based in Singapore.
